Johnsons Home & Garden - Store Info

Stan Johnson started Johnsons Home & Garden in 1969 in a small retail location in Wilderness Village.  Stan partnered with his parents Ardis and Karl to finance the fledgling store.  Over the years the store grew and grew until the original location was no longer suitable.  In 1979, the store was moved to Four Corners, which, at the time only had a lumberyard and a couple of restaurants.  At that time, Ardis sold her shares to her youngest son J (Karl had since passed) and concentrated on building a shopping center at Four Corners.  Stan and his brother continued to grow the business, expanding the store several times.  In 1994, Stan retired making J the sole owner.  In 1997, Brad Johnson (Stan's son) became a minority owner in Johnsons Home & Garden.  In 2011, Johnsons moved to its current location tripling the size of its retail space.  We added a large grill section, an enclosed greenhouse, Stihl outdoor power equipment, and the largest fastener section in Washington.  J and Brad continue to run the store to this day.  What began as a 2,000 square foot hardware store has grown into over 41,000 square feet of problem solving Home and Garden store.
